Searchline Excel

The receiver unit produces an analog output signal proportional to actual gas concentrations within the volume of air located between transmitter and receiver.  The signal indicates the level of potential hazard in units of LEL.  Plant shutdown, staff evacuation or forced ventilation can be actioned as a direct result of Searchline Excel´s alarm warning, maintaining plant productivity as long and as safely as possible.

Typically, Searchline Excel operates over a recommended line of sight distance from 5m to 200m (15 to 650ft).  Systems are used in applications ranging from offshore platforms and vessels, downstream chemical processing plants, gas transport and pipelines, large storage areas and buildings at risk from the build up of volatile vapours.

Open path gas detection equipment complements other combustible gas detectors such as point sensors and transmitters which are dedicated to measuring smaller volumes of air around specific locations such as valves, manifolds or HVAC intakes etc.
