The PV320L2 and PV320L2Z are unique broadband infrared cameras that incorporate a high resolution (320x240) uncooled focal plane array and advanced features including a USB 2.0 high-speed digital output and internal automatic image calibration (AIC). The PV320L2Z's integral zinc selenide non-fringing detector window provides the broadest possible spectral band (0.6-20 microns) and makes it ideal for a wide range of laser beam analysis and other broadband spectroscopy applications.

The PV320L2 and PV320L2Z cameras can be operated as stand-alone video-based systems (with on-camera controls) or can be controlled via PC with Velocity Advanced, our powerful real-time image acquisition and analysis software application. Connect the camera to any USB 2.0 enabled PC platform and run Velocity Basic and display real-time images on any PC and control the camera remotely. The compact PV320L in its rugged all-metal alloy chassis is currently in operation in many demanding applications around the world.

Laser Beam Diagnostics
For many applications, it is extremely important to know the cross-sectional profile of a laser beam. In this way, the power, energy density, modal structure and divergence of the laser can be determined. These properties impact the propagation of the beam in a wide variety of applications and ultimately determine the usefulness of the laser in each application. Infrared imagers offer an ideal method for analyzing laser beam profiles from 800 nm to 20 microns.

 
Medical Imaging
The human body burns a lot of energy (approximately 100 watts). Many physiological conditions produce variations in body temperature and temperature distribution across the human body. For example, the installation of thermographic cameras at airports has become a key SARS screening tool for many areas around the world. Thermography has also been used as a screening tool for applications such as breast cancer and pain management.
